In order for me to start any project I must to connect with my subject first before I can commit to take on any work. There needs to be a conversation about the piece and why it's important. I must understand it's purpose and feel the intent before attempting to create the whole encompassing feeling. Even if it's from a photograph. There will be things about the picture that might not be apparent or even evident about the subject. Creating a discussion helps me get a deeper image to be able to convey that in the final piece.
Sometimes it can be an instant connection or can take, for example, 3 months of communication to channel a clear direction for us (you & I) to visualize it through mutual eyes to better understand the final piece. Some clients find it difficult to explain what exactly they are looking for. Many times they have no idea what they want yet. Typically this will be a few sessions of questions, conversations, and random messages. I am an expressionist and always try to make sure the buyer is familiar with my styles and understand how I draw my vision. We will also determine what medium will work best for each new painting (either oil painting, oil pastel, watercolor, or a combination), the size of the painting, and a price range if you have one.
Oils are an interpretation and take 6 months to over a year depending on many variations. After discussion a time frame will be quoted.

Watercolors are similar to a rendering with my signature creative interpretation to convey what is most important about the piece.
Price range
$500. and up
Fine art high quality reproductions of finished commissions will be available to the original buyer only.
I will need to collect the original to obtain pricing and begin the reproduction process.
Once we have an agreement on a creative direction you will then secure the commission with a
Deposit
A deposit is 50% of the quoted price or $250, whichever is greater.
